B.B. King is a world renowned musician with an honorary doctrine in music; yet few truly know the story of the man behind the legend. The film “B.B. King: The Riley King Story” explores the life of B.B. starting from his tumultuous childhood in the delta Mississippi to his days a a disc jockey, all the way up to super stardom.

The film opens with Bill Cosby discussing the meaning of survival, and in his deep understanding of the word is the perfect intro to the film. See the now nonexistent place where B.B. King was born, and hear personal stories about his personal life from marriage to his orphaned past. This film is beautifully put together with personal testimony from some of the greatest musicians, and the man himself.
